Frequently asked questions

* Is Startopia just for girls?

Not at all. We supply a range of characters for boys and cater our themes and games accordingly.

* What area's of the UK do you operate in? 

Startopia operates in all area's of London, Essex and Hertfordshire. We are able to accommodate postcodes up to 10 miles outside of our operating area at a £10 travel charge. If you are unsure as to whether your address falls within our operating service, send us a message and we will happily assist you.

* Do you only do children's birthday parties?

No. We cater our packages to any event or celebration. If you have a special request please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. In addition to parties our performers are equipped to facilitate drama workshops, after school activities, corporate events and more.

* Do you have insurance?

Yes. We are covered for every party with Public Liability insurance. If a venue needs to see it please contact and we will happily share this with you.

*What time will the entertainer arrive and do we need to provide anything?

The entertainer should arrive at least 15-20mins prior to the event. We provide all the equipment that we need to execute our games, our own speaker and music. The entertainer will let you know if they need anything specific, however, we do ask if you could provide a table for our props and if it's an indoor venue, then preferably a plug socket.

* Will I get the performer from the picture? 

We happily accept requests, however, due to availability we can't always guarantee this. We can promise, however, that all of our performers are professionally trained, so you will no doubt be getting the best for your child's magical day.

* Can I have a bouncy castle/ soft play/ other entertainment going on at the same time?

Of course you can have any additional activities going on at the same time, however, as the entertainer is the main focus of the party it can be more difficult to engage every child when there are also other activities on offer. Please bare this in mind when booking other activities with your entertainment.

* Will every performer do the same?

All of our entertainers are highly skilled in performing and entertaining, however, please understand that every entertainer is different and have their own style of performing. This means each game and activity may be different from other performers and some activities may be substituted for a different activity. 

 

*How do I pay for my package and entertainer? 

We require a a partial non-refundable deposit which can be made on our after submitting the booking form. You will recieve an invoice for the deposit to be paid via BACS and the remainder of the balance will be paid via cash to your performer on the day. If you would rather pay the balance via bank transfer, please email or call us and we will provide you an invoice, which must be paid at least 24hours prior to the event.

* What if I need to cancel?

We understand that sometimes things change. Although deposit's are non refundable, we will happily help you reschedule your party for another day. This wont expire so you can come back anytime.
